The Leucistic is a unique variation of the Western Hognose Snake (Heterodon nasicus). Thanks to its distinctive appearance and active character, this species has remained one of the most popular snakes in the hobby. Description
Leucistic is a recessive mutation in which pigmentation in the body is absent, except in the eyes. As a result, this morph has a white body colour without a visible dorsal pattern. The eyes are generally black or blue in colour. In combinations with other morphs, usually only the eye colour changes while the scale colour remains white. In some animals, paradoxing may cause one or more dark spots to appear. The mutation fully affects body colouration, causing the scales to remain uniformly white without visible colour or pattern characteristics.
